Who doesn’t think back to high school days and wonder, “What if� Lucy Carr had a crush on her lab partner, but they were from different worlds, a geek and a football star. He is immediately intrigued by Lucy.This is a quick, easy, but interesting story to read. Different human issues are addressed, such as following in the family business or creating your own life’s work from what one wants to do. Being yourself in spite of what other people think, or may want for you. The creation of a child is not given as much thought as maybe it should, but does it work out in the end?
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting and the story line was good. I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it.

Lucy and Aiden story is portrayed as Nerd vs. Jock.Aiden yes was the high school jock. Lucy yes was the high school nerd.Fast forward Lucy finds her biological clock ticking down and she really wants a child. Aiden after a career ending injury is back home in the family farm trying to ward off spider mites on the crops so far they are immune to all pesticides. Hint nerd Lucy farmer Aiden make a deal. His genetics for her science. Plans to be inseminated, um well Aiden says the old fashioned way or no way. Contract signed and sealed . Then things get hot under the sheets.But feelings were not supposed to happen. Well you know what they say about the best laid plans. She lives in the city he lived in the country what could possibly go wrong? I'm glad I didn't rush to conclusions about their future. So ups downs and interference from family and viola HEA.
Review by Christine StokesA very delightful story filled with drama, romance and the author gives you just enough heat tokeep you intrigued.Aiden, after an injury went back home to farming. No matter how many types of pesticides he has tried,it is hurting his crops.Her biological clock is ticking for Lucy and she returns home to present a contract to Aiden that would benefitthem both. She will give him the pesticide she created and in turn, Aiden must father a child with her.Emotions were never part of the contract which they could not avoid.The chemistry between Aiden and Lucy were undeniably hot.Will they null and void the contract?Will they get their HEA?I received a free copy of this book and chose to voluntarily leave a review.
Lucy and Aiden make a business deal – her pesticide for his genetics. As with most contracts, the devil’s in the details, and the steam generated in the execution of the contract threatens to blow the whole thing out of the stratosphere. He’s got to contend with his father’s legacy, while she has her career back in the city. They each have to figure out just what they want out of life, and what they’re willing to sacrifice to obtain it.This story took more than a few unexpected turns on the way to their HEA, making it a truly enjoyable read with more emotional punch than usual. It’s a terrific story with intelligent characters and real-world conflicts, and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
